They are effing awesome. The discussion thread on the is here! GFS has their own thing going on. In my opinion they sound great for rock and blues. Well, yes and no. Ive tried several and have taken them all out. I'm not sure I'll ever play a Telecaster without one again.
High end and bottom end are pronounced- even old fashioned amps sound supercharged with a pair of Crunchy Rails driving them. I bought this pickup some time ago to install it on an Epiphone Les Paul Standard. That difference may be small to some folks, but to me it's huge and worth the investment. I've never used them, but Tonerider Pickups seem like they get good reviews and are inexpensive. For some of it, you get exactly what you pay for in other words, the price reflects the ok quality. GFS pickups is a brand of pickups sold by a small online guitar parts store called GuitarFetish.

Apr 23, 2. We slightly "age" Alnico V magnets, and wrap the coils with Formvar 42 gauge wire. The bridge is wound to 9. What you don't expect is the loudmouths incredible amount of string response and presence.

Description: I'm reluctant to take a risk on any of these without a real human being reporting on it. I do own some DiMarzio and Seymour which is a little more than your liking. My experience, with multiple orders over the years, has been generally good with a few real duds thrown in. The non-magnetic German Silver base-plate ensures a relaxed, musical mid-range.
